What have you done to honor the Gods today?

This hasn't been updated in a bit, so I thought I'd post my 2 cents.

I'm making a jump and establishing permanent altars. Thus far I've only had one altar, and I'd just switch up symbols depending on who I was talking to. I'm establishing altars for Adonis and Ares, and keeping another one 'open' for whomever I need to talk to or honour. I'd like to establish one to Hermes in the future, but I'd need to find another table or something to fit the narrow specifications for the area I have in mind for Him.

It's not perfect- due to lack of funds and space two of the altars are also doubling as functional household items (eg: drawers) with an altar on top. I hope in the future to be able to upgrade to better looking and single purpose altars, but one step at a time :P

For some reason I got the idea to celebrate Dionysus on the full moon, even though he's not a deity I'm close to (although! I have had some happenings in the past that I wholeheartedly believe involved him somehow).

I lit Hestia's candle, lit some sandalwood incense, offered water to Apollon and Hermes, prayed to Selene, and offered grape juice (something we never have in this house, which was a nice 'coincidence') to Dionysus. I had some ritual music on and danced for the Theoi, although mainly, it was a dance to Dionysus. It was really nice. Perhaps I could make this a personal tradition, since there's a celebration for the new moon already.

I finally got around to finishing that Priapos post I started and re-started in draft form nearly two years ago. :-)

Since I'm crunched for space, I cleaned out a little corner of the apartment and set up one of my bins, put a cloth over it, and made it Hermes' new shrine.

I am putting together a new shrine. Our roommate moved out and left a tall (6 feet?) bookcase. It has 5 shelves, 2 of which are behind doors. I've moved all my books and supplies onto those two bottom shelves. Then I moved my main shrine to all the Theoi to the middle (lowest visible) shelf. Hermes was moved to the middle shelf; I am either going to add Athene and Hephaistos to this shelf or an Ancestor shrine here--I will probably go with option A though. My Ancestor shrine (most of which still needs to be unpacked) will be on the top shelf.

I will probably use the very top as storage if I can get a halfway descent-looking box or two to replace the ugly plastic one I currently have all that stuff in. But we'll see how that goes and how much stuff I have left once I'm fully (finally!!) unpacked.
